Planation Surfaces

Planation surface is a large surface that is flat or near flat with possible exception of some residual hills. The process by which planation surface are formed collectively called as planation and are exogenic in nature.

There are many planation surfaces based on their mode of development : Peneplain (Devis) Pediplain (L.C. King), Panplain (Crickmay), Etchplain (Wayland), Panfan (A.C. Lawson), Primarrumph, Gipfelflur, Stockwerk, Schietelflur and Stripped surfaces.
